INNA NOVIKOVA

BIOGRAPHY

A major theme of Russian artist Inna Novikova’s artistic explorations are childhood perceptions and memories, which are the most colorful and vivid in every human life.

Novikova pursued a professional art career after moving to the United States from Kazakhstan (former USSR). She adapted a distinct style of painting on heavily textured canvas, using modeling paste, gold leaf, oil pastels, acrylics and craft paper.

Novikova’s paintings are in private collections in Israel, Russia, Germany, Kazakhstan and the U.S. Her paintings were selected by the Nebraska Arts Council for the 2005 Governor’s Mansion Exhibition Program, and for the 2007 Nebraska Showcase Exhibition Program in Omaha. In 2006 Novikova was listed as one of the "artists worth watching" by Art World News magazine.
